November 27, 2011

Today, I'm thankful for what I call, "The Beautiful Let Down". There are things in this life that I desire more than anything, but God has plans that are bigger and better than anything I can even fathom. Learning how to be still in situations is a work in progress. Learning how to be patient when knowing He gives me the desires of my heart, and hasn't forgotten about me, is a daily struggle. I know and believe that in His time, things that I hold near and dear to my heart, all will be revealed. Until then, I will wait. I will wait on His perfect timing. Not on my own.

~A Month Of Gratitude~

As November comes to a close, I am more inspired than ever before.  My fellow Facebook posters took the meaning of the season and posted something they're greatful for each day.  It drowned out the negative nellies, which I couldn't be more thankful for, but it also reminded me just how much I have been blessed with every single day.  There were posts about things that I don't always think to be thankful for everyday and made it look as though it was the BEST thing, EVER!  Well, it really IS the best thing because I am reminded of the little things in life along with the big things to be thankful for.  I truly am blessed to have such great friends.  To everyone who took part of this Month of Gratitude, you all helped put me in the reason for the season but more so, I am inspired to count my blessings more.

I'm thankful for pictures. I love looking back and seeing my life unfold, remembering where my mind and heart were. God is unbelievably faithful and I'm incredibly thankful for His provision.

November 24, 2011

This Thanksgiving holiday, 9 years ago, was a day that changed my life forever. It was then that I made a call with a 50/50 chance someone would answer, which they did. It was a phone call that brought 2 families together, myself and my sister to our father and his growing family. This particular day of thankfulness was saved for my father, whom I'm so blessed to know. Our lives are richly blessed and I truly wouldn't change a thing. I love you. — with Lonnie Clark.
